THE REAL PROBLEM
Your work ethic is not the bottleneck. Staying inside your sport's bubble is.
You're already putting in the work. The hours, multiple sessions a day, a team of experts around you. So why have your results stopped moving?
Because most sports live inside their own bubble. The best ideas get shared within the sport, but rarely come in from outside it. When everyone in a sport draws from the same pool of ideas, everyone ends up hitting the same limits.
So when progress stalls, the usual answer is to do more. More volume, more sessions, more of what used to work.
You don't need more of the same. You need a new way, and we're the experts in finding it. Coming from outside your bubble is the advantage.
THE REAL COST
Every season you stay stuck, it gets more expensive.
An athletic career is measured in seasons, and each season is a chance to fix a weakness or build a certain attribute to the next level. But when every season starts from scratch, that chance is lost, and it’s time you can’t get back. Zoom out over your career, and years of hard work never add up to what they should, and the narrative that you’ve peaked gets harder to break.
"Your career is counted in seasons, so every one needs to count."
ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT
Cameron McEvoy
Swimming | 🥇 Olympic Champion & Fastest Swimmer in History
Cam came to us willing to question everything, even the things swimming has taken for granted.
He quit swimming after placing 29th at the Tokyo 2021 Olympics and was widely regarded as a "failed" athlete. Cam hired Matt at the start of his comeback in 2023, one that earned him his first:
🥇 World Championship (2023)
🥇 Olympic Gold (2024)
🥇 World Record (2026) - previously unbeaten for 16 years
🥇 Commonwealth Games Individual Gold (2026)
50m in 20.88s made Cameron McEvoy the fastest swimmer in history.
"There aren't too many people like Matt in this world who have the eye, the experience and the problem solving skills in human movement. Matt was an integral part of this entire journey for me in the lead up to both my world championship title and Olympic title."
OUR FLAGSHIP ONLINE COACHING
The online coaching that took Cam McEvoy from 29th at the Tokyo Olympics to Paris Olympic Gold - in less than half an Olympic cycle (under 2 years).
This is online strength & mobility coaching, and that's not a limitation, it's the point. The most important work happens in the program design and planning: knowing exactly what your body needs at each point in your season, and building your training around it.
Cam won Olympic gold having met Matt in person only twice. Amanda broke the Singapore national record after meeting once.
Every program starts by finding the limiting factor holding you back, then builds your season around it:
01 Assess. Define your goal, map what your sport demands, and get a reality check on what's holding you back.
02 Plan. A periodised season built backwards from your goal, showing everyone what to develop and when.
03 Adapt. We check in regularly and adjust your training so it always fits you.
ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT
Gui Ribeiro
Surfer | 🌊 2x Portuguese champion 🥇 & 5th place in his first World Surf League Championship Tour event.
Gui needed a training system that could work around the unpredictability of a surf season - travel, conditions, competition windows. We built it around his calendar and peaked him at the right moments.
"On this journey, I feel like I've learned not just about flexibility, but about the human side of it too - and the mechanics of my own body. It's something I never expected would become such a main priority."
ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT
Amanda Lim
Swimming | 🏊 Fastest Swimmer in South East Asia & Singapore National Record
Amanda broke the Singapore national record at a point in her career when most people would have written her off. That didn't happen by accident. It happened because we built a system that accounted for every variable in her season and refused to accept the narrative that her best years were behind her.
"My dream team. I’m so blessed to have met you guys.
Thank you for believing in a vision bigger than any one race. Thank you for having the courage to do things differently. Thank you for helping me see performance through a completely new lens."
MEET YOUR COACH
Matt doesn't come from your sport - and that's exactly why athletes hire him
Matt Smith is best known online for mobility, but his coaching is built on strength. To truly understand flexibility, he first had to master the strength models behind it, because flexibility research runs years behind strength research. Not accepting the standard answer is how he works, and it’s made him an expert in breaking traditional ways in sport.
That combination, deep knowledge of strength applied to how the body moves and adapts, is what elite athletes now hire him for.
Working with the best in many different fields lets him see what one sport takes for granted and another figured out years ago. Today he works with Olympic champions, world record holders and elite teams, and brings what’s working at the very top to athletes ready to break their sport’s old way.
"Our coaching calls felt like two mad scientists pulling apart the rulebook."

IS THIS FOR YOU?
We work with one type of athlete
We only take on a select few athletes at the very top of their sport. That's where we can make the biggest difference together, each learning the most, to push a whole sport forward.
BEFORE YOU APPLY
What athletes ask us first
How do you work with my coach and support team?
We take care of your mobility, strength & conditioning and work alongside your sport coach, physio, and the rest of your support team to develop the training season.
Our role is to plan the long view: mapping your training over months and seasons, so your work stacks and you develop exactly the qualities you need for the competitions that matter most. Your coach is always welcome on our calls, so everyone works from the same plan and pulls in the same direction.
I've tried different strength programs before and nothing really stuck.
Often the issue isn't the program itself, but how it fits into the bigger picture of your season. Without a long-term map, even good programs can be used at the wrong time and the work never gets the chance to build on itself.
We start from your goal and plan backwards, so every block develops the specific qualities that the next one builds on.
I'm already training a lot. How much more will this add?
Often less than you'd expect, and sometimes less than you're doing now. Think of your weekly training capacity as 100 units, shared between your sport training and everything else.
How we split those units depends on you: how much volume you tolerate, how demanding your sport training is, how quickly you recover, and what needs the most attention. As competitions approach and your sport-specific work increases, we make room for it, and we'll be the first to call everyone out when you're exceeding full capacity.
In-season and off-seasons require different approaches to maximise your performance as certain adaptations can only happen under specific conditions. Every part of the training has to earn its place.
What sports do you work with?
We work with athletes and performers across a wide range of disciplines, from competitive Olympic and World Championship sports to more artistic practices like circus and dance.
Think tennis grand slam, cirque du soleil, etc.
The principles behind how the body adapts are the same everywhere. What changes is how we apply them.
We specialise in helping the elite achieve their very best. We work with individuals already in the top league of their discipline and help them achieve their very peak performance.
You're not from my sport. How can you know what I need?
Your sport coach and team know your sport, the techniques and strategies required inside out - we're not here to replace that. We work alongside you and your coach and they're welcome on every call.
Our part is the physical preparation: strength, mobility, periodising when you do what across the season, the dosage and volume of your training, peaking for competitions and more.
In a lot of sports, physical prep is built on what's always been done. We build it on human physiology and biomechanics, because the principles of training don't change from one discipline to the next. That's our expertise, and we've seen it work across elite sport.
It means we can bring in tools your sport might not have been exposed to yet.
Coming from outside your bubble is the advantage.
Can online coaching really work at my level?
Yes.
Cam won Olympic gold having met Matt in person only twice, and Amanda broke the Singapore national record after meeting once. We've been optimising online since before Covid made it popular. It's not a constraint for how we operate. It also means we see what's working around the world and can apply that to you.
READY TO REDEFINE WHAT YOUR SPORT THINKS IS POSSIBLE?
It's not an effort problem. It's about stepping outside the bubble. And that's where we come in.
We work with a small number of athletes at any given time, because world-class coaching requires genuine attention to detail.
DON'T MEET THE PREREQUISITES YET?
Not quite there yet,
or is flexibility holding you back?
If you’re not already world-class at what you do, the Mobility & Flexibility Toolkit might be the right place to start:
- Built on the same methodology we use for Olympic Gold
- Direct access to the same coaching team
- For a lot of our athletes, flexibility is where the transformation begins
